Lead Foreperson

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Foreperson to join our team at W A Kendall and Company LLC. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the daily activities of our team, ensuring that all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.

• Coordinate and supervise the daily activities of the crew, ensuring that all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
• Direct and manage the use of equipment, tools, and supplies to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
• Assign tasks and supervise the performance of crew members, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Plan and execute work assignments to ensure that all tasks are completed on time and to the required standard.
• Ensure that all crew members are following safe practices and protocols, and take corrective action if necessary.
• Communicate effectively with crew members, supervisors, and customers to ensure that all needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
• Perform daily truck inspections and conduct job briefings as required.
• Re-stock supplies and perform routine maintenance on equipment as needed.
• Determine the best course of action in emergency situations, prioritizing the safety of crew members and the public.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in electric utility vegetation management, construction, logging, landscaping, mechanical, or military industries preferred.
• Must be able to meet and demonstrate qualifications of all positions on a crew.
• Must be able to follow verbal or written directives.
• Must be able to delegate work and take accountability for the performance of a crew.
• Must be able to understand drawings and symbols representing lines, voltages, line equipment, etc.
• Must be capable of adjusting to field requirements and taking independent action without close supervision.
• Must have and maintain a Driver's License and be able to safely drive a company vehicle.
• Must be able to work outdoors under varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain first-aid certification and CPR.
• Must have endurance necessary to perform duties throughout a standard eight or ten hour day.
• Must be able to operate and service all required tools and equipment.
• Must be able to travel out of town for storm restoration work when needed.
