Job Title: Operations Assistant Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Operations Assistant Manager to join our team at Dollar Tree. As an Operations Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our store, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting the Store Manager in achieving sales goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities as directed by the Store Manager
  • Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager
  • Protect and secure company assets, including store cash
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines
  • Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors
  • Direct supervisory responsibility for all hourly Associates when the Store Manager is not on the premises
  • Process all SSC Corporate directives, including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, and Key Survey information
  • Assist the Store Manager in ensuring proper staffing coverage and sales effectiveness on a daily basis
  • Manage cashiering activities to ensure all company cash handling practices and guidelines are followed
  • Promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays
  • Coordinate signage and assist with the receipt and return of DSD merchandise
Requirements:
  • Prefer prior retail and management experience
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills
  • Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50lbs
  • Ability to work in a high-energy team environment
