About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Manager - Data Strategy to join our team at Cox Enterprises. This is a critical role that will play a key part in shaping our data landscape to support strategic initiatives across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategy and Discovery: Develop and execute a data strategy that aligns with the company's objectives, ensuring that all data initiatives support our strategic vision.
  • Identify, quantify, and effectively communicate data-related opportunities; analyze competitive and industry landscapes and validate solutions for future data strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Monitor the health of our data products and businesses, anticipate business needs, and proactively work with stakeholders to establish requirements for advanced recurring and ad-hoc data and analytics support.
  • Partner with UX, marketing research, client solutions, and business stakeholders to observe and solicit feedback from end-users.
  • Connect strategic initiatives and their data needs to a common, enterprise data framework, promoting consistency and efficiency.
Planning and Governance:
  • Create and maintain product vision and roadmap; create business plans to secure funding; develop go-to-market strategy and value proposition.
  • Implement and oversee governance practices to maintain high data quality standards across master data and analytics platforms and systems.
  • Provide product management discovery support for broader and more complex products and features within an assigned product area or domain.
  • Proactively seek out strategic data opportunities, such as creating reusable data products for Sales, Service, and Marketing.
  • Ensure that strategic and tactical activities are directly tied to the product roadmap, providing clear direction and governance for new data-related intake requests.
Development:
  • Work with manager and direct line of leadership to define priorities that align with evolving business priorities, ability to set proper expectations and manage project/task progress with team members and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate access to reliable data products, enabling stakeholders to derive actionable insights for business decisions.
Sales and Client Engagement:
  • Engage with cross-functional stakeholders and business partners to ensure data vision addresses marketplace access, format, key features and functionality requirements, service and support requirements, and key domains.
Evaluation:
  • Measure and monitor product KPI performance, and provide strategy and roadmap input; accordingly, make end-of-life recommendations for non-performant data products.
  • Evaluate customer/market/financial data, identify emerging patterns, trends, and problems, and recommend strategies and approaches for resolution.
