Role Overview

The Senior Medical Liaison will be pivotal in cultivating relationships with external experts in designated therapeutic areas within the assigned region. Key responsibilities include:

  • Expert Relationship Development: Establishes and nurtures professional connections with key opinion leaders in relevant therapeutic fields.
  • Educational Outreach: Delivers comprehensive education regarding disease states and AbbVie’s product offerings throughout their lifecycle to healthcare professionals and researchers.
  • Medical Resource Provision: Acts as a scientific resource for healthcare providers by addressing unsolicited medical inquiries and resolving clinically related information challenges.
  • Clinical Research Support: Aids research initiatives as requested by R&D, which may encompass site evaluation, recruitment, investigator meetings, and study management.
  • Strategic Project Management: Collaborates with internal Medical Affairs teams to formulate and implement a territory strategy that aligns with shared business goals.
  • Data Management: Maintains and updates internal databases concerning activities within their territory.
  • Market Preparation: Prepares the market in new therapeutic areas by fostering awareness and relationships within the medical community.
  • Commercial Support: Serves as a scientific resource to commercial teams, as necessary, to facilitate various initiatives.
  • Professional Development: Develops and communicates a personal growth plan, continually enhancing knowledge on global market trends and product information relevant to key therapeutic areas.

The candidate is expected to reside within the designated territory or be willing to relocate. The territory encompasses specific regions.

Job grade, level, and title will be determined based on the selected candidate's qualifications, education, and experience.
