Job Overview

CorVel Healthcare Corporation is in search of a Vocational Case Manager to deliver employment counseling and job placement services for individuals recovering from occupational injuries. This position is primarily field-based and requires the development and application of resources to evaluate clients' skills and interests, establishing appropriate job objectives, creating vocational strategies, providing continuous support, and partnering with employers to secure job placements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver job placement services to injured workers, which includes:
    • Job Seeking Skills Training: assistance with resume creation, mock interviews, job goal development, and job sourcing.
    • Vocational Assessment: conducting aptitude and interest evaluations, transferable skills analysis, and employability assessments.
    • Exploration of retraining options and employment counseling.
  • Perform labor market research, including surveys and analyses.
  • Engage in communication through phone and in-person interactions.
  • Prepare detailed reports within designated timelines.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of all case activities.
  • Fulfill ongoing educational requirements as mandated by certifying organizations.
  • Participate in committee meetings, customer service initiatives, instructional program presentations, vocational testing administration, job analysis, expert testimony, job placement activities, and labor market research as needed.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong multi-tasking abilities in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, particularly MS Office, including Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management, and organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.

Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
  • Preferred experience in job placement, case management, job development, vocational evaluation, employment counseling, or vocational rehabilitation.
  • Eligibility to obtain CRC or CDMS Certification.
  • Familiarity with Workers' Compensation is advantageous.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or another language is a plus.

Compensation:

CorVel employs a market-based compensation strategy, and salary ranges may differ based on geographic location. Pay rates are determined by factors such as federal, state, and local minimum wage laws, geographic differentials, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, internal equity, and market conditions. Adjustments to salary ranges may occur at any time.
