Aerospace Structural Maintenance Specialist

ICONMA is in search of dedicated Aviation Maintenance Specialists who are eager to contribute to a significant mission by enhancing military operational readiness through essential maintenance and modifications for our defense clients.
The selected professionals will become integral members of our Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) and Component Operations teams, collaborating on vital programs that include military commercial derivatives, fighter aircraft, and aircraft component maintenance.
Responsibilities will encompass strict adherence to established protocols, precise and timely documentation of work, and compliance with contractual and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Accurately identify various fasteners including rivets, blind rivets, screws, hi-locks, bolts, and lock bolts.
• Interpret blueprints, process data sheets, and maintenance manuals effectively.
• Exhibit proficiency in cleaning, corrosion prevention, and control, as well as polishing or dry washing tasks.
• Understand common fastener dimensions and the appropriate cutting tools for removal and installation.
• Safely remove and reinstall access panels and fairings.
• Skillfully extract damaged screws without harming surrounding structures.
• Demonstrate the ability to safety wire and install cotter pins.
• Apply aircraft finishes, including primer, paint, Alodine, and sealants.
Essential Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
• Must be available to work both first and second shifts.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Aircraft Mechanic (experience in commercial or defense sectors or relevant trade apprenticeship will be considered).
• At least 3 years of experience in interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
• Ability to perform close tolerance drilling within .001 and precision measurement within .0005 in metallic and composite structures.
• Proficiency in computer applications, including the Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
• FAA certification in Airframe and/or Power Plant is advantageous.
• Familiarity with general aircraft maintenance and environmental processes (Human Factors, FOD control, tool control, health & safety, and COSHH).
• Active Secret Security Clearance is preferred.
Typical Education & Experience:
• High school diploma or GED, or 3+ years of relevant industry or military experience.
Candidates must possess the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.
