Position Title: CoMET Project Manager

Location: Austin, Texas

Role Summary:

The CoMET Project Manager at HVJ Associates plays a crucial role in ensuring client satisfaction through effective communication and the delivery of high-quality reports tailored to meet specific project requirements while adhering to budgetary and design constraints. This position involves collaboration with other project managers and staff to uphold client satisfaction in accordance with industry standards and company protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee projects to align with HVJ SCTX financial objectives and quality benchmarks.
  2. Coordinate Field and Planning Lab Assignments.
  3. Ensure timely delivery of project outputs within budgetary limits.
  4. Prepare proposals for prospective projects.
  5. Maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
  6. Mentor and guide junior team members.
  7. Foster team collaboration.
  8. Support the Department Manager with general management tasks.
  9. Contribute to Business Development efforts.

Additional Expectations:

  • Monitor project expenditures to confirm that actual work aligns with budget forecasts.
  • Process invoices in accordance with client specifications and HVJ SCTX timelines.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of all reports prior to client submission to ensure completeness and accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (MSCE or BSCE) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Experience with public sector projects, including TxDOT, municipalities, and water authorities, is advantageous.
  • Possession of a valid Texas PE license is required. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with a strong understanding of construction materials, are essential.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite is necessary.
  • A valid Texas Driver's License with a clean driving record and appropriate work authorization is required.
