IT Project Manager

As a Strategic Project Manager, you will lead the establishment and execution of enterprise-wide, cross-functional strategic initiatives. This role requires a strong partnership and trust with stakeholders, ability to navigate a highly matrixed organization, and expertise in financial data and software development methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Define, plan, and deliver multiple strategic initiatives, including business, operational, and information technology deliverables.
Ensure end results are of the highest caliber with a clearly articulated scope and quantifiable business benefit.
Direct large-scale, complex projects involving multiple internal and external constituents and partners.
Manage all aspects of the project life cycle and oversee all phases of a project.
Rigorously manage scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed-upon time, cost, and quality parameters.
Validate financial forecasts and cost assumptions and provide ongoing reconciliation of resources and other related project expenditures.
Work with resource managers to ensure accurate resource capacity planning.
Define and track project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan.
Handle risks and issues management for project-level risks and interdependencies.
Partner with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to track Agile development milestones and support Agile practices as needed.
Manage team relationships to ensure effective delivery.
Facilitate problem-solving and resolve stakeholder conflict.
Teach, coach, and mentor team members to remove roadblocks and drive project execution.
Requirements:
8+ years of project management experience, managing multiple large, complex, and cross-functional projects with emphasis on systems and technical environments.
8+ years of experience with project management tools and artifacts, including MS Project, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, project budgets, change requests, status reports, etc.
Experience managing a concurrent portfolio of work greater than $3M.
Experience preparing/presenting information for and engaging with officer-level audiences.
Proven experience to execute with limited information and ambiguity.
Demonstrated ability to mobilize and motivate teams, set direction and approach, resolve conflict, deliver tough messages with grace.
Proven experience with various software development methodologies, including Agile/Scrum.
Proven ability to build relationships quickly and earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders, being seen as a strategic partner.
Deep experience working with product development and technology partners.
Proven track record of applying an elevated level of detail to project management and communications.
BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred Skills:
Scaled agile methodology experience, strongly preferred.
Contact center technology experience (phone/IVR, chat, SMS).
Background/experience in financial services industry.
PMP or PMI-ACP certification.
