General Summary: The Park Operations Coordinator serves as the key administrative support for the Operations department at Audubon Park. This role is primarily office-based, operating Monday through Friday, and involves a variety of administrative tasks such as managing communications, processing permits, and sending confirmations. While the main responsibilities are office-oriented, this position may also assist with significant events in the park during weekends.

The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of Audubon Park, including its history, features, and policies. This role demands proficiency in computer applications, along with exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Responsibilities include managing schedules, tracking project timelines, and developing systems for recurring tasks. The Park Operations Coordinator should be proactive in prioritizing duties, completing assignments, and suggesting process enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Enhance Guest Experience: Ensure high-quality service for all park visitors.
  2. Event Coordination: Manage park events, including races and shelter rentals, by:
  • Responding to inquiries with accuracy and courtesy.
  • Ensuring all necessary documentation is completed correctly.
  • Processing permits and transactions in line with departmental policies.
  • Issuing precise confirmations with relevant event details.
  • Communicating park amenities, services, rules, and regulations.
Internal Communication: Compile and distribute event-related communications, including calendars and orders, as per departmental procedures.Process Improvement: Assess the permitting process for enhancements based on guest feedback.Support Internal Requests: Handle internal communications, including work orders and updates to department heads.Educational Outreach: Serve as a resource for park users, providing information about the property and its programs.Recreation Assistance: Aid park users in understanding available recreational spaces.Financial Operations: Manage permit and sales processing, ensuring accurate financial documentation.

Qualifications:

Experience: Customer service and point-of-sale experience preferred.

Education: High school diploma required; college education preferred.

Licensure/Certification: Valid state-issued driver's license.

Software Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with point-of-sale systems preferred.

Physical Requirements: Ability to perform sedentary work, with occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds, and maintaining mobility for various tasks.

Working Conditions: May involve exposure to outdoor environments and varying temperatures, requiring flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
