The IT Systems Engineer is responsible for executing technical planning, system integration, and conducting verification and validation processes. This role involves comprehensive analyses concerning cost, risk, supportability, and effectiveness for complete systems.

These analyses encompass all phases of the total system product, including:
concept, design, fabrication, testing, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.

Ensures a coherent and methodical transformation of customer or product requirements into comprehensive systems solutions that consider technical, scheduling, and budgetary constraints.

Conducts functional analysis, timeline assessments, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to convert customer needs into hardware and software specifications.


Basic Qualifications :

Active DoD Secret Clearance

Experience in Linux Server Administration (RedHat and SLES)
Proficiency in Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems
DoD IAT Level II certification (i.e. Sec+ CE)
Familiarity with scripting (e.g., Windows (PowerShell)/Linux (shell scripting))
Previous experience in requirements and verification
Willingness to work third shift

Desired skills :

Knowledgeable in information systems networking
Experience with VMWare/ESXi, VSphere, and Hyper-V for automated configurations and updates
Proficient in Excel, Agile methodologies, Atlassian tool suite (JIRA/Confluence), and IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM).

Application/Software:
GIT, McAfee, Nexus, Ansible
Experience in configuration management of packages and patches, version control, and service packs

Must possess an active secret clearance, with a minimum of interim clearance required

This position will initially operate on the first shift but must be adaptable to third shift as necessary. Third shift hours typically run from 10 PM to 8 AM.

The management anticipates that this may occur during peak periods but could also arise at other times.

Minimum of 4 years of experience required with all skills
Highest priority skill is DoD IAT Level II certification (i.e.

Sec+ CE), with other mandatory requirements as follows:
Active DoD Secret Clearance
