The Systems Integration Specialist plays a pivotal role in crafting unparalleled, innovative experiences through the integration of advanced hardware and software technologies.

This position entails the ideation, development, management, testing, and commissioning of integrated hardware and software systems. The specialist will lead initiatives to assess and standardize communication methods among teams, platforms, and components, ensuring a seamless and dependable experience for both guests and team members.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee the integration process of hardware and software from initial concept to final deployment.

Contribute to the planning, budgeting, and design of applications, systems, and components that support new creative projects.

Engage in technical reviews of software, network, and electronic architecture across various teams, providing insights and guidance on potential risks and scope gaps.

Research and design systems for closed-loop networks, including human-machine interfaces and ride/show network inputs.

Develop detailed hardware/software specifications for third-party development teams.
Manage vendors tasked with designing, developing, and testing integration scopes for hardware and software systems, overseeing contracts from initiation to completion.
Adapt hardware/software systems as necessary based on design and field conditions, driving technical enhancements across all attractions.
Execute, witness, or approve testing and results as assigned by Engineering and Safety management, compiling data and reporting on outcomes.

Collaborate closely with creative development teams to conceptualize the overall experience, ensuring that delivery aligns with all creative requirements.

Create mockups and proof-of-concepts, supervising contractor efforts in mock-up, prototype, and acceptance testing to guarantee results reflect the final installed system.
Lead both internal and external hardware/software development teams, facilitating input from various teams, including operations and technical teams, to create standardized integration solutions. Ensure clear communication between teams regarding responsibilities and vendor scope.

Stay informed about the latest technological advancements and industry trends, introducing innovative concepts to the organization.

Actively participate in Environmental, Health, and Safety responsibilities by adhering to established policies, procedures, and training.

Other duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Some travel may be required (less than 30%). Significant vendor management involved.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Advanced vendor management and negotiation skills
Web User Interface Analysis and Usability Testing

Web Programming:

Front End Technologies:
HTML, CSS, DHTML, JavaScript, and JavaScript frameworks
Strong grasp of UX/UI design, staying current with the latest user experience design trends
Extensive experience in relevant disciplines for the position

Embedded Systems:

- Embedded computer chip design/System on a Chip
- Various RF technologies (RFID, UHF, Wi-Fi, etc.)
- Wearable/Mobile hardware
- Haptics
- Head Mounted /Heads Up Displays

Mobile Platforms:
- Experience with iOS and Android
- Familiarity with analytics solutions and standards-compliant code
- Working knowledge of game development engines such as Unity and Unreal
- Proficiency in C++, C#, and/or Java
- Familiar with Agile development processes
- Strong troubleshooting abilities
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Self-motivated, especially in maintaining technical skills and embracing new challenges
- Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple tasks, and work under pressure
- Flexibility in handling both long-term and short-term projects
- Passionate about integrating hardware and software technologies.

EDUCATION:
A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering/Science, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees are preferred.

EXPERIENCE:
10+ years of experience managing internal and/or external teams delivering hardware components is required.
5+ years of experience in hardware and software development is required.
3+ years of experience with Virtual Reality and/or Augmented Reality systems is required.
3+ years of experience in the amusement industry is preferred.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
