About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vendor Manager to join our Amazon Fresh team. As a Vendor Manager, you will be responsible for leading multiple facets of an omni-channel retail business, including growing and maximizing partnerships with critical vendor partners.

You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to own strategic vendor relationships, negotiate vendor terms, and drive joint business priorities throughout the year. Your direct responsibility will be focused on delivering results at both a strategic and tactical level across all aspects of the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the P&L for multiple large vendors with a focus on growing categories and customer baskets, as well as improving vendor profitability.
  • Develop strategic relationships and joint business plans with suppliers to ensure early insight into new trends and products, early and exclusive access to new items, merchandising and promotions investment, and competitive costs.
  • Drive winning negotiations and represent Amazon when meeting with vendor senior leadership.
  • Lead a cross-functional team, including Marketing, Instock, Merchandising, and Amazon Advertising, to drive superior vendor and category results.
  • Continuously audit to improve the customer experience and business performance.
Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience with Excel.
  • 5+ years of retail, operations, product or program management, or business management/consulting with negotiations and delivering results experience.
  • Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years of professional or military experience.
  • Experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing large data sets and utilizing to drive performance and process improvements.
  • Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion, inventory management, and product development.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $141,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
