Community Outreach Development Specialist

We are seeking a motivated Community Outreach Development Specialist to join our team at The Salvation Army USA Central Territory. As a key member of our outreach team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing community outreach programs that promote social services and support for vulnerable populations. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate and manage outreach efforts, ensuring that our programs are accessible and beneficial to those who need them most.
Key Responsibilities:
- Community Outreach and Engagement: Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, government agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and coordination of outreach efforts.
- Program Development and Implementation: Design, implement, and evaluate community outreach programs that promote social services and support for vulnerable populations, including children, families, and individuals in need.
- Communication and Outreach: Develop and disseminate outreach materials, including brochures, flyers, and social media content, to promote our programs and services.
- Partnership Development: Foster partnerships with community organizations, government agencies, and other stakeholders to enhance our outreach efforts and expand our reach.
- Program Evaluation and Reporting: Conduct regular evaluations of our outreach programs and provide reports to stakeholders on program outcomes and successes.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in social work, community development, or a related field, with at least 2 years of experience in community outreach and engagement.
- Skills and Qualities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders. Strong program development and implementation skills, with the ability to design and evaluate programs. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel, with the ability to learn new software and technology.
- Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
