Southwest Accounting Resources, Inc is seeking a highly skilled Fixed Assets Manager to oversee the timely and accurate processing of capital assets information. This is an in-office position with a base salary up to $120K. The ideal candidate has in-depth experience with full-cycle accounting, capital project accounting, and fixed assets. As the Fixed Assets Manager, you will lead and mentor a finance team, develop and implement new processes, and present team successes to leaders.

  • Develop and implement strategic deliverables within the financial business plan, including mission, vision, values, and operational plan.
  • Ensure accurate financial results against performance metrics, including timely and accurate reporting of capital assets information.
  • Supervise Capital Analyst/Accountant positions through all tasks required to complete reporting requirements and planning.
  • Identify, review, and supervise the production of capital assets information and variance analysis to support financial reporting requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with operational areas, including Developer Services, Capital Project Managers, and Operations.
  • Support continuous improvement in financial reporting and analysis, identifying areas for improvement and carrying out initiatives.
  • Recruit and develop staff, establishing career development plans and cultivating a customer service focus.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • CPA or CMA certification.
  • 7+ years relevant accounting experience and 2+ years supervisory experience.
  • Strong leadership skills, planning, time management, and decision-making.
  • Experience in identifying continuous process improvement opportunities and implementing improvements.
  • Utility industry knowledge and advanced knowledge of USGAAP, IFRS, and regulatory practices.
  • Advanced experience in Excel, Oracle, and/or similar accounting software products.
