Role Overview

The Advisor Bond Specialist role at Charles Schwab is a strategic position that plays a meaningful role in driving asset growth for both our Advisor and Retail channels. With over $145 billion in Fixed Income assets, an industry leading product platform, and a large team of sales & service professionals, this team supports independent Registered Investment Advisor firms that custody and trade their client assets at Schwab.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deepen advisor relationships within a specified region.
  • Provide guidance across bond portfolios and fixed income needs with a focus on growing and deepening relationships.
  • Partner with the sales organization to promote our offering with current advisors and prospects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Active and valid FINRA Series 7 & 63 required.
  • 5+ years of financial services experience, with exposure to fixed income.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of fixed income products, yield curve analysis, convexity and duration, bond swaps, laddering techniques, and general portfolio analysis.
