Role Overview

As a Fixed Income Specialist at Charles Schwab, you will play a key role in driving the growth and innovation of our Fixed Income business. With over $145 billion in Fixed Income assets, our team is dedicated to providing exceptional service to our advisors and clients. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and deepen relationships with advisors within a specified region, providing guidance across their bond portfolios and fixed income needs. This includes performing portfolio analysis, discussing general bond information, and executing trades. You will also have the opportunity to partner with our sales organization to promote our fixed income offering to current advisors and prospects.

Key Responsibilities

Represent the Schwab brand and promote our fixed income offering
Perform closely within and across a team of Fixed Income Specialists
Provide proactive solutions that meet our advisors' needs
Collaborate with business partners to resolve fixed income-related issues
Partner closely with Relationship Managers and Business Development Officers in our Regional Field offices to promote our fixed income offering
Abide by all industry, corporate, and fixed income policies and procedures; mitigate risk to the firm, our advisors, and their clients

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Active and valid FINRA Series 7 & 63 required
5+ years of financial services experience, with exposure to fixed income
Strong interpersonal and relationship skills. Ability to establish rapport with advisors, business partners, and peers
Strong organizational and time management skills
Knowledge of fixed income products (Treasuries, CDs, GSEs, MBSs, Municipals, Corporates, Preferred Securities, Bond Funds, etc.), yield curve analysis, convexity, and duration, bond swaps, laddering techniques, and general portfolio analysis
Bloomberg experience a plus
Minimal travel
