We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Consultant to join our team at United Counseling Services. As a key member of our staff, you will provide consultation services to local education agencies on mental health concepts, screening, prevention, and intervention approaches.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a mental health professional to work collaboratively with school administrators, teachers, and other stakeholders to develop and implement sustainable infrastructure for social, emotional, and mental health supports within the Vermont Multi-Tiered System of Support Framework (VTmtss).

Your Key Responsibilities:

">

You will participate in a district/community leadership team to conduct needs assessments, plan interventions across all levels of MTSS, and evaluate the effectiveness of MTSS strategies and interventions. You will also provide mental health consultation on the selection, implementation, and continuous review of a district-wide universal screener for student social, emotional, and behavioral needs.

What We Offer:

In addition to the above responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to work closely with Project AWARE LEA Coordinator to ensure effective data collection methods in screening, referral, and services received. You will also support the development of mental health and wellness-related policies and procedures, such as universal screening assessments, referral protocols, suicide prevention, crisis intervention, behavioral threat assessment, and staff trainings.

Qualifications:

">

To be successful in this role, you will require a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related counseling field, with experience working with children/youth. Licensure or eligibility to pursue licensure in Vermont as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor, Social Worker, or Psychologist, or Mental Health Professional, is also essential.

The estimated salary for this position is $58,000 per year, based on national averages and taking into account the location and industry standards.
