Chief Purpose of this Position:

The Department of Ophthalmology at the Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center supports a large health system providing both primary and tertiary care.

We are seeking candidates who will be responsible for direct patient care and supervision in various outpatient ophthalmology settings.



Key Responsibilities:

Candidates must maintain high clinical and ethical standards, adhere to compliance measures, and establish a collaborative practice environment.

The incumbent will have a wide range of responsibilities, including clinical and surgical duties, research, and teaching.


Required Qualifications:

The incumbent must be board certified/board eligible in Ophthalmology, with subspecialty training in Glaucoma.

The candidate must possess/maintain a current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Virginia.

The candidate will have excellent diagnostic and surgical skills and must demonstrate expertise working in a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment.
