Job Title: Ophthalmologist Corneal Specialist

Virginia Commonwealth University Health is seeking a highly skilled Ophthalmologist Corneal Specialist to join our team.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct patient care and supervision in three outpatient settings, including the Main Campus, V.A. Medical Center, and suburban ASC locations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent diagnostic and surgical skills, with a strong commitment to maintaining high clinical and ethical standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care and supervision in outpatient settings
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans for patients with corneal disorders
  • Collaborate with residents and certified ophthalmic medical technicians to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Ophthalmology, with Corneal subspecialty training
  • Possess/maintain a current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Virginia
  • Demonstrate expertise working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment
