Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Senior Heavy Assembler to join our team at SPX. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring quality and production in assembling metal products partially or completely. Key Responsibilities * Develops layout and plans sequence of operations using controlled documents and production schedule. * Adjusts and distributes the schedule as needed. * Verifies conformance of work piece to controlled documents. * Troubleshoots various issues relating to the assembly of the units. * Computer literate for imputing pass fails, amp, rpm, and voltage reading into company-specific software. * Demonstrates experience with all aspects of loading, moving, and manipulating items with a forklift. * Wires motors, pumps, control panels, heaters, and all electrical components that belong to the units. Requirements * High school diploma or general education degree (GED). * 3-5 years of manufacturing/assembly experience, including handling sheet metal; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. * Ability to write simple correspondence. * Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations with other employees of the organization. * Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
