Position Overview: MCC is currently in search of an Assembly Technician. The selected individual will be tasked with assembling and/or repairing products utilizing hand tools, power tools, and lifting equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble equipment using hand and power tools according to engineering specifications and procedures.
  • Install, repair, inspect, reassemble, replace, refit, and adjust components as necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all parts following established cleaning protocols.
  • Conduct precision calibration and advanced adjustments utilizing testing instruments.
  • Perform product and performance testing, documenting results accordingly.
  • Execute final inspections and adjustments to identify any defects, ensuring high-quality output.
  • Develop assembly and testing procedures to enhance product quality.
  • Keep the work area organized, clean, and safe.
  • Operate heavy machinery and equipment as required for job duties.
  • Work safely with hazardous materials and in confined spaces.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and maintain a driving record that aligns with company policy.
  • Exhibit regular attendance and punctuality as essential job performance criteria.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Environmental and Physical Requirements:

Employees may encounter various outdoor conditions, including loud noises, dust, toxic substances, and uneven surfaces. The role may involve working at heights, utilizing ladders and scaffolds, and in confined spaces.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Capability to perform manual and repetitive tasks, including prolonged standing and walking.
  • Adaptability to changing demands and priorities.
  • Maintain focus and alertness to ensure safety during operations.

Safety Considerations: This position is classified as safety-sensitive due to responsibilities involving vehicle operation, heavy machinery maintenance, and handling hazardous materials.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members.
  • Proficiency in precise measurements and blueprint interpretation.
  • Experience with hand and power tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality assurance.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • A valid driver's license is mandatory.
