Position Overview:
As a Senior Heavy Assembler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our metal product assembly processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design layouts and establish the sequence of operations based on production schedules and controlled documentation.
  • Modify and allocate schedules as necessary to meet production goals.
  • Confirm that workpieces meet specifications outlined in controlled documents.
  • Troubleshoot assembly-related issues effectively.
  • Utilize computer systems to input operational data, including performance metrics.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in operating forklifts for material handling.
  • Wire various components including motors, pumps, control panels, and heaters.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following:

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing or assembly, particularly with sheet metal, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and understand basic instructions and communicate effectively in small group settings.
  • Mathematical skills to perform basic calculations in various units of measure.

Physical Requirements:
The physical demands for this position include:

  • Regularly standing, walking, and using hands for tasks.
  • Occasionally climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crawling.
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities for close work.

Work Environment:
The work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts and occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles. Safety is a priority, and maintaining a clean workspace is essential.
