Position Summary:
The Senior Heavy Assembler is responsible for ensuring quality and efficiency in the assembly of metal products, either partially or fully.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and develop layouts and sequences of operations based on controlled documents and production schedules.
  • Adjust and manage the production schedule as necessary.
  • Verify that workpieces conform to controlled documents.
  • Troubleshoot assembly-related issues effectively.
  • Utilize computer systems to input performance data such as pass/fail metrics, amperage, RPM, and voltage readings.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in loading, moving, and manipulating items using a forklift.
  • Wire various components including motors, pumps, control panels, and heaters.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing or assembly, particularly with sheet metal, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and understand basic instructions and correspondence.
  • Proficient in basic mathematical operations.

Physical Requirements:
The role requires the following physical capabilities:

  • Regularly standing, walking, and using hands for manual tasks.
  • Occasionally climbing, kneeling, or crawling.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
  • Close vision for detailed work.

Work Environment:
Employees may encounter the following conditions:

  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts.
  • Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
  • Noise levels that necessitate hearing protection.
