Position Overview:

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Relationship Specialist plays a vital role in a dedicated service team focused on empowering individuals and families to achieve their financial goals. This position involves collaborating with Chartway team members to deliver personalized experiences and effective financial solutions for our members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster an atmosphere of exceptional member service, providing sound financial guidance and advice.
  • Build and nurture relationships with our member base through proactive outreach and follow-up.
  • Collaborate effectively with branch team members and other departments to identify and implement solutions for members.
  • Adapt seamlessly between various job functions and responsibilities to meet member needs.
  • Represent Chartway positively within the community.
  • Perform member transactions accurately and assist with account openings, personal financing, real estate lending, investment referrals, and small business deposit products.
  • Ensure compliance with branch operations, best practices, and federal regulations.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Capability to manage challenging situations with poise and control.
  • Demonstrated sense of ownership and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of diversity and inclusion best practices, with the ability to collaborate with individuals from various backgrounds.
  • Willingness to embrace new challenges in a dynamic environment and maintain composure under pressure.
  • Fundamental analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office applications, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Familiarity with credit union policies and procedures related to products and services.
  • Awareness of potential suspicious activities or transactions and the responsibility to report as necessary.

Education and Experience:

  • Education: Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1-3 years in delivering exceptional customer service, innovative problem-solving, and relationship development.
