About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Animal Care Coordinator to join our team at Highland Village Pet Hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Clients and their pets receive warm and professional greetings, setting the tone for a positive clinic experience.
  2. Aptly scheduled appointments, surgeries, and follow-up visits optimize the veterinarian's daily schedule, maximizing efficiency.
  3. Inquiries are addressed, appointments are scheduled, and general information is provided regarding our services through effective phone and email communication.
  4. Accurate record-keeping and patient information updates are ensured through check-in and check-out processes.
  5. Financial transactions are handled, payments are processed, and invoices are generated for services rendered.
  6. The reception area remains clean and organized, creating a welcoming environment for clients and their pets.
  7. The veterinary team receives essential information about incoming patients, their medical history, and special requirements through effective communication.
  8. Medical records are accurately managed and organized, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  9. Patient care is coordinated, including prescription refills, dietary orders, and client requests as directed by the veterinary staff.
  10. Colleagues collaborate to address client concerns, escalating complex issues to the appropriate personnel.
  11. Compassionate support is provided to clients during challenging situations, such as euthanasia appointments or emergency situations.
About the Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience in a veterinary clinic, animal hospital, or customer service role is required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to empathize and connect with pet owners.
  • Proficiency in using computer software for appointment scheduling, record-keeping, and communication is necessary.
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills ensure effective management of appointments, records, and client interactions.
  • Multitasking and remaining composed in a fast-paced environment are crucial.
  • A genuine passion for animals and a commitment to exceptional customer service are vital.
  • Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and some holidays is required.
