We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Front Office Assistant to join our Internal Medicine practice team. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our physicians and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Provide excellent patient care and service, ensuring a positive experience for all patients and visitors.
- Secure accurate insurance and demographic information from patients and enter it into our computer system.
- Answer and route incoming telephone calls, and respond to patient inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with patient check-out, scheduling of diagnostic procedures, and future appointments.
- Perform medical records duties, including filing, scanning, and sending out documents as required.
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year front office and/or medical records experience in a physician office or similar setting.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and internet applications required.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Detailed working knowledge of modern administrative practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of system and department policies, as well as the interaction of other departments and physician offices for referral purposes.
- Ability to learn Meditech and applicable practice EMR system.
