Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Capital Project Engineer to join our team at the City of Bothell, WA. As a key member of our Public Works department, you will be responsible for managing capital projects from design through construction, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the design, development, and completion of public works capital projects, collaborating with private consultants and internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee construction projects, including design, construction, engineering, right-of-way, utilities, and roadway management.
  • Develop project objectives, work scope, cost estimates, and schedules, ensuring alignment with departmental goals and objectives.
  • Review and facilitate the review of engineering design and analysis, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of civil engineering experience, with a focus on project management and capital project delivery.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects, with a strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including city officials, consultants, and community members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks, and develop effective solutions to complex problems.
