Job Summary

Puget Sound Energy is seeking a highly skilled IT Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our IT Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for successfully managing key technology-related initiatives that support the company's clean energy transformation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the overall coordination, status reporting, financials, schedules, and stability of project-oriented work efforts, ensuring that project goals and objectives are met within agreed-upon time, scope, and resource requirements.
  • Coordinate work performed by IT staff and internal customers/partners by defining project requirements and performing feasibility and needs/impact assessments.
  • Develop detailed project plans and manage all implementation processes, including resource allocation, vendor/procurment management, risk management, progress tracking, monitoring change control process, testing, documentation, training, and on-time delivery within budget constraints.
  • Coordinate elements of communication and change/process management related to project outcomes across the organization as appropriate.
  • Uphold the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE's operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities. Promote and support a culture of total safety.
  • Demonstrate commitment to conduct business honestly, ethically, and consistent with our core values and Code of Conduct. Ensure duties are performed in accordance with all regulatory compliance obligations.
Requirements
  • Two (2) year degree or certification in a technology-related field or equivalent combination of education, work experience, or relevant military experience, and at least four (4) years of experience in a related field.
  • Strong familiarity with project management software, including MS Project.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
  • Strong team leadership and facilitation skills required.
  • Solid understanding of project management tools and methodologies, and ability to develop and manage project plans and budgets.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including excellent presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree.
  • Customer-centric focus with demonstrated ability to apply insights to meet customer technology needs and improve IT maturity.
  • Proven experience working independently and/or in a team environments to deliver on initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive for results to deliver against commitments.
  • Growth mindset to rapidly learn new skills and be able to collaborate to deliver creative IT solutions.
  • Solid verbal and written communications skills; ability to present and discuss technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding.
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Certification.
  • Six Sigma Certification.
