Professional Engineer License Required

Key Responsibilities: As a Licensed Civil Engineer at Suncoast Drivers, your role will encompass the following:
  • Conduct and evaluate calculations pertinent to storm-water management, potable water distribution, and sanitary sewer systems.
  • Create comprehensive specifications and schematics for land development initiatives, including roadways, water, sewer, and drainage infrastructures.
  • Design and strategize infrastructure for land development, ensuring adherence to all applicable regulations and standards.
  • Facilitate and manage permit applications through various relevant agencies.
  • Engage collaboratively with clients, fellow engineers, CAD technicians, and other disciplines.
  • Develop site construction cost estimates.
  • Review, amend, and authorize shop drawings and material specifications.
  • Participate actively in meetings with clients and internal teams.
  • Deliver technical documentation to fulfill project specifications.
  • Maintain exceptional organization and technical expertise throughout all phases of projects.
  • Provide construction inspection services and support.
  • Manage certification processes and ensure permit closure with all relevant agencies.
Software Expertise: The ideal candidate should demonstrate proficiency in the following software tools:
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • I.C.P.R. (Preferred)
  • A.S.A.D. (Preferred)
  • Microsoft Project, Excel, and other standard Microsoft Office applications
Position Qualifications: To qualify for this position, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (B.S.C.E) or an equivalent degree from an ABET accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, particularly in land development projects.
  • Possession of a valid Florida Professional Engineer License (REQUIRED).
  • Candidates holding an Engineering In Training (EIT) certificate will be considered.
