Burlington Capital Properties, a leading name in property management, is on the lookout for a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our innovative community, Ravinia in Fort Pierce, Florida. We value individuals who demonstrate pride in their work and deliver exceptional service to our residents.
This full-time role requires availability from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., along with an on-call rotation for evenings and weekends, details of which will be discussed during the interview process.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive interior and exterior repairs to uphold the quality of apartments, communal areas, buildings, and grounds following established protocols.
- Maintain regular communication with supervisors regarding the status of service requests and unit readiness.
- Prepare vacant units to meet readiness standards in accordance with established guidelines.
- Oversee and inspect all work completed by external contractors.
- Perform exterior maintenance to ensure a high standard of curb appeal.
- Monitor and manage budgeted maintenance expenses consistently.
- Adhere to all Federal, State, and County Health and Safety Codes, Laws, and Standards.
- Regularly inspect laundry facilities and common area restrooms to ensure functionality and cleanliness.
- Engage in resident activities as requested by management.
- Be available for emergency maintenance calls after hours as directed by management.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
- A valid driver's license and a satisfactory motor vehicle record are mandatory.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance or a related field is essential.
- Proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, appliance repair, and general building trades is required.
- HVAC certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic understanding of the English language with effective communication skills is necessary.
- Capability to interact positively with residents, staff, vendors, and the public.
Applicants must provide their own basic tools for apartment and building maintenance. Physical requirements include the ability to bend, stoop, sit, stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders, reach, lift, pull, push, and carry weights up to 75 pounds. Reliable transportation is essential.
