As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will oversee daily engineering operations within your designated area, ensuring production requirements are met while executing relevant projects and maintaining comprehensive process and equipment documentation to uphold safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Embody Vibrantz's Core Values and Behaviors.
- Ensure processes align with approved procedures and standards while supervising the production of assigned products using statistical methods.
- Confirm that processes meet customer specifications within the constraints of process capabilities.
- Create, maintain, and prepare for audits of related equipment procedures, batch documentation, and control plans.
- Train operators on the proper completion and adherence to documentation and procedures.
- Provide guidance to the MRP team for the establishment and upkeep of SAP Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Recipes.
- Manage and implement continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives utilizing Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
- Support the technical transfer of new products and execute improvement projects on assigned products and processes.
- Assist in capital projects from an operational and technical perspective.
- Collaborate directly with suppliers and customers regarding technical and quality-related matters.
- Prepare Management of Change (MOC) and Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) documentation.
- Act as a subject matter expert on assigned products and processes, providing assistance to Technical Service, R&D, MRP, and Quality teams as necessary.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Ceramic Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, or Glass Science Engineering. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with demonstrated presentation capabilities and proficiency in computer applications, particularly MS Office.
Preferred Qualifications:
Training in statistical and data analysis, such as Six Sigma or black belt certification. Experience in problem-solving and program management methodologies, including RedX, 8D, or 5-why. Familiarity with ISO9000, IATF 16949, and ISO14001 standards.
Travel Requirements:
Minimal travel, typically less than 10%.
Competencies/Job Skills:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to analyze data statistically for effective problem-solving. Strong project management capabilities, adept at multitasking and working under pressure. Proficient in compiling presentations and statistical data with high accuracy and presenting that information confidently to suppliers, customers, or internal teams. Understanding of ISO9001 Quality Standard requirements and knowledge of other advanced quality systems such as IATF16949. Audit experience is a plus.
