OSF HealthCare is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our dental team, you will provide exceptional support to our residents, faculty, and administration in the Dental General Practice Residency Program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist dentists in providing quality and complete general dentistry to eligible children and adults according to the guidelines of the Illinois Dental Practice Act.
- Provide administrative support to the program, including data collection and reporting.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, staff, faculty, and residents.
- Utilize analytical skills to gather and summarize data for reports and find solutions to various problems.
- Multi-task in highly demanding situations and prioritize work effectively.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Certification in Dental Assisting (DANB, CDA, COA, CPFDA, CRFDA) or equivalent preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited dental assisting program or a minimum of six months experience working as a Dental Assistant in a dental practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
