Key Responsibilities
  • Assist providers and clinical staff with obtaining basic vital information, preparing patients for examination, treatment, and minor surgical procedures.
  • Track and manage follow-up appointments, laboratory tests, and procedures to ensure timely patient care.
  • Schedule referrals for patients with specialists or outpatient services as requested by providers.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation in the patient's electronic health record.
  • Provide education and support to patients and family members on various health topics.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from AAMA, NCCT, AMT, or NHA upon hire.
  • Previous clinical experience in a medical office preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
