Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Lab Assistant II to join our team at Carle Health. As a Clinical Lab Assistant II, you will play a critical role in the pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phases of laboratory testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and process specimens from various age categories, including neonates, children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly.
  • Perform moderate and high complexity testing, including Gram stains, urine eosinophils, and molecular COVID-19 testing.
  • Ensure accurate and timely results by following testing protocols and performing quality control checks.
  • Enter data and results properly, including required notification and documentation.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to troubleshoot instrumentation and resolve issues.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a chemical, physical, or biological science or Associate's Degree in a chemical, physical, or biological science.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in laboratory information systems.
