Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Carle Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist providers and clinical staff with obtaining basic vital information, preparing patients for examination, treatment, and minor surgical procedures.
  • Obtain patients' review of systems and history, measure vital signs, and complete necessary documentation in patient charts.
  • Manage the tracking system for follow-up appointments related to office visits, laboratory tests, and procedures.
  • Schedule referrals for patients with specialists or outpatient services as requested by providers.
  • Complete tasks within scope of certificate, licensure, and competency as delegated by providers to support patient care.

Requirements:

  • H.S. Diploma/GED required for work in a moderately complex CLIA lab.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from AAMA, NCCT, AMT, or NHA upon hire.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
