Join Our Team as a Patient Support Technician

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Support Technician to join our team at Community Rehabilitation Hospital West. As a vital member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and support to individuals in need of continued rehabilitation.

About Our Hospital

Community Rehabilitation Hospital West is a state-of-the-art, 40-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital operated jointly with Lifepoint Health and Community Health System. Our hospital is designed to provide comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs to patients throughout their recovery journey.

Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care responsibilities considering needs specific to the standard of care for patient's age
  • Perform morning and evening care duties, including bed bath, shower or whirlpool, oral hygiene, and other general care as necessary
  • Prepare patients for meals, serve and remove food trays, and assist with meals or feeds patients if necessary
  • Answer patient call lights, anticipate patient's needs, and make rounds to assigned patients
  • Assist patients with handling personal property, including dentures, glasses, contact lenses, hearing aids, and prosthetic devices
  • Report and record any changes observed in condition or behavior of patients and unusual incidents
  • Assist licensed nursing staff with treatment procedures
Qualifications
  • CPR/BCLS Certification
  • Minimum six months experience in an acute or long term facility preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
