Job Summary:

We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Facilities Engineer to join our team. As a Facilities Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating the Cafe Infrastructure and addressing daily Facility needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive Maintenance Program for Cafe Equipment Operations
  • Lead all aspects of and maintain multiple Roblox Cafes, to ensure the encouraged level of operations regarding the physical area, refrigeration equipment, Fire Suppression system and management of service providers and/or vendors equipment.
  • Possess solid understanding of building infrastructure, electrical distribution, lighting, plumbing, water filtration, refrigeration, and HVAC.
  • Be responsible for coordinating all preventive maintenance programs within the Café (to include kitchen and dining area), whether self-performed or led, and facilitating repairs or replacement as warranted when approved by Roblox.
  • Be an effective organizer and communicator, responsible for establishing lines of communication with all team members within the Café operation, Roblox Facilities Department, associated service providers, including Service by Medallion Janitorial management/staff.
  • Be knowledgeable of all Safety (CalOSHA) and become familiar with all relevant Health Codes & Regulations applicable to Café/Kitchen operations.
  • Have duties that may require work during evenings and weekends.
  • Have other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Experience, proficiency and solid understanding of commercial Café/Kitchen components and systems:
  • solve issues,
  • research common operational problems, and
  • resolve when specialty vendors need to be called in, to include the facilitating of those services to successful conclusion.
  • Examples would include Oven/Ranges, Grills, Fryers, Steamers, Food Prep Equipment, Washers, Dish Carousels, Beverage Dispensers, Ice Makers, etc.
  • The ability to troubleshoot and or repair common issues pertaining to cafe equipment furniture, cabinetry, millwork, laminates, plumbing fixtures, and interior building finishes.
  • Aptitude to use computers, apps/software tools, or other relevant/required technology as needed to perform and communicate in the role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experienced with 10+ years Facilities/Cafe Operations
  • Can be productive and effective with minimal direction
  • You love establishing relationships with customers and enjoy customer service
  • You are savvy with technology and will be comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • You are resourceful, exhibit patience under pressure, and capable of finding solutions
  • You are a strong communicator and self-starter
  • You are well organized and detail-oriented, with excellent multi-tasking ability

Work Schedule:

Onsite Monday - Friday

10:00am - 7:00pm

The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.
