Job Summary

Planned Parenthood Northern California (PPNorCal) is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team at the Napa Health Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide comprehensive behavioral health services to our clients, ensuring they receive timely access to clinically appropriate care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide brief psychosocial assessments to identify and address mental and behavioral conditions that may impact a client's physical or mental health.
  • Utilize targeted intervention strategies to address identified stressors related to accessing sexual reproductive health, including on-the-spot counseling and ongoing weekly visits.
  • Design and implement a multidisciplinary treatment and/or follow-up plan to support clients' mental health and well-being.
  • Maintain a caseload of at least 25 clients for ongoing counseling services and assess client safety and risks, reporting according to California legal mandates.
  • Manage voicemail and referrals from in-house, primary care providers, and contracted health plans, scheduling consultation, follow-up, and ongoing appointments as needed.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in counseling, social work, or psychology and registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences as a mental health provider.
  • Experience in a community clinic and in reproductive health care is desirable.
  • Bi-lingual preferred, but not required.
