About the Position

Napa County is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Counselor to join our team in the Access Unit of Behavioral Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive assessments, determining eligibility for Medi-Cal services, and providing a wide range of behavioral health services to individuals and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine eligibility for Medi-Cal services
  • Provide a wide range of behavioral health services, including counseling, therapy, and support
  • Work with individuals and families to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Provide outreach and education to the community on mental health services and resources
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a related field, such as social work, marriage and family therapy, or clinical psychology
  • Current licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
  • Two years of experience in a mental health setting, providing direct services to individuals and families
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
