Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

Guthrie Medical Group is seeking a skilled and compassionate Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its team at Guthrie Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton, NY.
Key Responsibilities- Clinical Care
- Provide high-quality patient care in an outpatient setting, including initial assessments, follow-ups, and inpatient rounding.
- Implement treatment plans in collaboration with orthopedic surgeons.
- Prescribe medications and treatments as needed.
- Deliver patient education and counseling to promote optimal health outcomes.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Leadership and Professional Development
- Participate in leadership opportunities to advance the field of orthopedic care.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in the field.
- Education and Certification
- Master's degree in nursing or physician assistant studies from an accredited program.
- Current licensure in New York State.
- Certification as a RNFA required for experienced Nurse Practitioner candidates.
- Skills and Experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Experience as an orthopedic APP is required.
