This position offers a chance to work within a collaborative team of healthcare professionals, including 18 physicians and four advanced practice providers (APPs). Our diverse team is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and works closely with various hospital departments.
The facility features a co-managed ICU with intensivist support, although APPs are not required to attend to ICU patients. We are seeking board-certified APPs with hospitalist experience or training to join our expanding team. Both nurse practitioners and physician assistants are encouraged to consider this opportunity.
Our community hospital, equipped with 197 beds, provides excellent subspecialty support, allowing for strong relationships with hospital staff and specialists.
As a day APP, your responsibilities will include performing rounds, managing admissions and discharges, and participating in daily multidisciplinary rounds. Our team utilizes geographic rounding, and no procedures are necessary.
Our hospitalist team is integral to the rapid response and code teams, with all members certified in basic life support and advanced cardiovascular life support. Support from intensivists is readily available.
We hold monthly meetings to ensure all team members are informed about developments in the medical field and within the hospital. The work schedule is structured as week on/week off, with flexibility for alternative arrangements.
We utilize Cerner for electronic health records and Dragon for dictation, alongside access to our internal informatics platform.
Compensation for this role is set at $170,000 annually based on a 182-day shift schedule, with additional productivity incentives available for extra shifts worked.
