Your Role:

The Retail Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in providing financial reporting and analytical support for Carter's, Inc. This position will collaborate with various business partners and members of the FP&A team to plan, optimize expenditures, and clarify variances in store payroll. Additionally, the analyst will oversee the planning and payment processes for store sales incentives across all retail locations in the US and Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning: Assist in the planning, forecasting, and management of the field payroll budget and omnichannel strategies.
  • Data Analysis: Support payroll forecasting and omnichannel initiatives for approximately 1,000 retail locations in the US and Canada.
  • Model Maintenance: Collaborate with Retail FP&A and Store Operations to maintain a comprehensive field payroll model.
  • Scenario Analysis: Conduct analyses to assess the impact of business decisions on store payroll.
  • Sales Forecasting: Develop quarterly forecasts for omnichannel sales across the US and Canada.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Prepare materials for key meetings, including weekly and monthly reviews.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses to support strategic decision-making and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Analyze business trends and key performance indicators to inform financial strategies.

Incentive Planning:

  • Design monthly store sales incentive plans for all US and Canada locations.
  • Evaluate traffic and sales trends to project sales plans by store.
  • Monitor monthly store sales performance against incentive targets and calculate employee payouts accordingly.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Strong understanding of business principles with a background in accounting or finance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with financial statement analysis and accounting concepts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
