Role Overview:

The Retail Financial Analyst within the FP&A team is responsible for delivering financial reporting and analytical insights for Carter's Inc. This position collaborates with various business partners and FP&A colleagues to plan, optimize expenditures, and clarify variances in store payroll. The analyst will also oversee the sales incentive planning and payment processes for retail locations across the United States and Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning: Assist in the planning, forecasting, and management of the field payroll budget and omnichannel strategies.
  • Data Analysis: Conduct scenario analyses to assess the impact of business decisions on store payroll.
  • Sales Forecasting: Develop quarterly forecasts for omnichannel sales across all retail locations.
  • Reporting: Prepare materials for critical meetings, including leadership and board meetings, and conduct ad hoc analyses to support strategic decision-making.
  • Incentive Management: Create monthly sales incentive plans for all retail stores, analyze traffic and sales trends, and calculate employee payouts based on performance.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Solid understanding of business principles, with a background in accounting or finance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with financial statement analysis and accounting concepts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and experience with large data sets.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
