The Senior Wealth Advisor is responsible for delivering comprehensive financial and investment guidance to our Citigold and Citigold Private Client segments. Senior Wealth Advisors benefit from access to Wealth's premier investment solutions platform, enabling the provision of both traditional and alternative investments, managed account solutions, and top-tier research and advice for all Wealth clients. The client remains at the forefront of our operations. In this role, you will collaborate closely with a dedicated Wealth team to fulfill the financial requirements of our Affluent and High-Net-Worth clients, including a Wealth Relationship Manager and field specialists such as Financial Planners, Insurance Experts, Portfolio Consultants, and Home Lending Officers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish connections with new clients to increase bank and brokerage assets.
  • Enhance relationships with current clients in Citi Personal Wealth Management and Retail banking through effective financial planning and thorough discovery and profiling techniques.
  • Address referrals and introductions from business partners, recommending optimal offerings based on client profiling and suitability evaluations.
  • Provide securities recommendations and investment advice to clients through a curated selection of solutions utilizing firm models and research.
  • Capitalize on referral opportunities to expand the portfolio.
  • Refer opportunities to segment partners as necessary (including, but not limited to, Small Business Partners, Home Lending Officers, etc.).
  • Attract new clients by converting referral leads.
  • Oversee client follow-up and comply with all Regulatory and Compliance operating procedures.
  • Ensure strict adherence to KYC/AML and other compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with all roles on the branch team to guarantee a positive in-branch experience for all clients.
  • Evaluate risk when making business decisions, demonstrating careful consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and transparently escalating, managing, and reporting control issues.
  • Regularly take on informal/formal leadership roles within teams, including mentoring and training new recruits.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • 5-8 years of experience in a financial advisory role.
  • Proven track record in a proactive, successful sales and service capacity within the financial services sector.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word) and familiar with financial planning software.
  • Basic understanding of investment and financial planning strategies is preferred.
  • Self-motivated, problem-solving, and goal-oriented team player capable of working independently.
  • Possession of Securities Industry Essentials - SIE, Active Series 7, 66 (or 63 and 65) licenses.
  • Group 1 Insurance License.
  • This position requires registration as a mortgage loan originator with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry and obtaining a unique identifier from the Registry before referring clients to Citibank for mortgage needs, maintaining and renewing that registration annually, updating registration information promptly, and providing that unique identifier to consumers as mandated by applicable SAFE Act regulations and Citi policies.
