Part-time Assistant Professor of Quantitative Methods in Business

National University System is seeking a highly qualified Part-time Assistant Professor to teach Quantitative Methods in Business. The successful candidate will have a strong background in economics, accounting, finance, or a related field, with experience in teaching business math, statistics, and analytics.
Key Responsibilities- Teach courses in Quantitative Methods in Business, including business statistics, management science, and business analytics.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and assessments to promote student learning and success.
- Provide high-quality feedback to students and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Stay current with developments in the field of Quantitative Methods in Business and incorporate best practices into teaching and course design.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to develop and implement curriculum changes and improvements.
- Master's degree in economics, accounting, finance, or a related field from a regionally accredited institution.
- 3-4 years of direct teaching experience at the undergraduate level in business math, statistics, and analytics.
- Ability to teach using Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Solver, Tableau, and large datasets.
- Experience with online delivery of education and the systems that support it.
- Curriculum development experience.
- Experience working as a remote employee.
- 5 years of field experience in economics, accounting, finance, or other quantitative business fields required, administrative or command experience.
- Ability to participate as an active team member of the team and organization and work toward a common goal.

- Working knowledge, principles and practices of office management/systems within a higher education environment, preferred. Demonstrates an understanding of underlying organizational issues.

- Work independently and foster a cooperative spirit within a large and/or small team of diverse cultures, while working in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and frequently changing priorities.
- Intermediate use of computers and Microsoft Office Suite Applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook. Experience using Student Information System (SIS) such as SOAR/Peoplesoft systems.
- Skill in operating equipment, such as personal computer, fax, copier, phone systems.
- Ability to handle a diversity of details in order to make informed and responsive decisions on matters that impact the Part-time Professors, and students.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governing body regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Experience with the online delivery of education and the systems that support it.
- Willingness to participate in trial use of new technologies and integrate new technologies into teaching.
- Excellent communication skills: verbal and written.
- Skill in using or eagerness to learn to use multiple technologies to teach and communicate with students (learning management systems, Skype, etc.).
- Demonstrated mastery of APA style.
Onsite - San Diego area (Spectrum, military bases, and other San Diego locations).
