At Creative Financial Staffing, we are partnering with a top client, a non-profit organization in the DMV region, to find an experienced Accounting Manager to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. This role has the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for performing month-end close, including bank reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger account reconciliations. They will also monitor and review accounts receivable, payable, and payroll for accuracy, assist in preparation of budgets and grant applications to federal agencies, and ensure proper recording of expenses to various grants.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and a CPA certification. They will have at least 7 years of accounting experience, with a background in government contracting and knowledge of federal grants, contracts, and billing. Proficiency in Deltek Costpoint and/or Concur software is a plus, and supervisory experience is preferred.

The Accounting Manager will work in a hybrid schedule, with 2-3 days in the office and 35 hours per week. The office is metro accessible, and the company offers amazing benefits, including a pension, once the position becomes permanent.
