About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Engineer to join our team in Cary, IL. As a key member of our manufacturing engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated processes and systems to improve manufacturing productivity, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop automated processes and systems to improve manufacturing productivity and quality
  • Conceive and implement projects to improve manufacturing efficiency and reduce costs
  • Provide technical direction and training to technician staff
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement new technologies and innovations
  • Support manufacturing operations on all shifts, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
  • 5-15 years of manufacturing engineering experience, preferably with high-speed assembly
  • PLC programming experience, including S5 and S7 logic
  • Experience with robotics and tool room and machine building capabilities
  • Strong project management skills and ability to lead technical task forces
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
