Design Automation Engineer - Mechanical Systems

Coilcraft, Inc. is seeking an exceptional Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic machine design team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing automation systems for various products and assemblies using your expertise in electronic controls, pneumatic actuators, mechanical systems, and operator interfaces.

Responsibilities:
  • Design automation concepts and specifications for new products and assemblies
  • Develop and improve existing products with input from manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, marketing, and other departments
  • Guide the design effort in creating prototypes and production drawings
  • Evaluate products, parts, or processes for cost efficiency and reliability
  • Set and implement schedules to ensure project completion
  • Review and make changes to ensure product compliance
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
  • At least 5 years of recent mechanical design experience in manufacturing and automation
  • Proficiency in Solid Works (5+ years)
  • Design expertise at the component level and in complete machine & systems design
