As a Lead Systems Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Commissioning advanced distributed digital control systems at construction sites within established timelines, documenting commissioning details, and communicating any deficiencies and progress.
  • Taking the lead as the primary technician, coordinating work with the Team Leader.
  • Assisting the Project Manager by participating in job site coordination meetings and verifying installation progress.
  • Managing network technologies: executing data backups from servers and establishing automated backup procedures, troubleshooting inconsistencies in functions or operational sequences, configuring PC workstations and user interfaces, and ensuring optimal network performance.
  • Conducting operational testing, verification, and acceptance: generating routine reports to assess system operation, performing final inspections, testing, and securing customer acceptance, providing customer training on system operations, and submitting regular written reports.
  • Coordinating project site communication and collaboration with trade contractors to facilitate startup services.
  • Being available for overtime as necessary, as compressed schedule performance may require extended hours to fulfill commitments.
  • Participating in rotational on-call duties and/or minimal overnight travel.
  • Submitting precise time and expense reports.
  • Adhering to local, corporate, and OSHA safety regulations and protocols.

Your qualifications will make a significant impact:

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in building management system programming, point-to-point verification, troubleshooting, checkout, commissioning, and startup.
  • Proven experience with the integration of low voltage building subsystems and industry protocols, such as LON, BACnet, N2, Modbus, etc.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret design and construction documents.
  • Willingness to work in various conditions, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high lift equipment, as well as working in ducts, crawl spaces, roofs, basements, and above ceilings.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, laptops, email, smartphones, and tablets, and the ability to carry and move equipment weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Willingness to work overtime as required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver's license with minimal violations.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or state-recognized GED; Associate or Bachelor's degree in electronics, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in building management system programming, point-to-point verification, troubleshooting, checkout, commissioning, and startup.
