Administrative Program Coordinator

The Center for Indigenous Health at Johns Hopkins University seeks a highly skilled Administrative Program Coordinator to provide complex project and administrative support to the Center's faculty and staff.

This role will represent the Center Directors and Department Administrators in communicating professionally with faculty, administrators, staff, and external contacts, including tribal partners. The successful candidate will provide high-level administrative expertise, interpret operating policies of the University, and exercise independent judgment in the resolution of administrative problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level administrative support for the Center for Indigenous Health.
  • Manage high-level projects, including purchases, cost reduction measures, and administrative policy development.
  • Compose and/or prepare documents for content, quality, and style.
  • Initial point of contact for community-based sites, triaging to appropriate faculty members, staff, etc.
  • Provide administrative support for Principal Investigators across multiple projects.
  • Communicate operating policies, announcements, and correspondence to Center teams.
  • Exercise leadership in highlighting Departmental and Center policies, resources, and benefits.
  • Coordinate major community-based sites' activities, faculty meetings, and social events.
  • Exercise independent judgment in prioritizing meeting schedules and preparing timelines.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Three years of progressively responsible professional-level administrative or finance experience.
  • Current driver's license issued by the state of residence and good driving record required.
  • Ability to travel with overnight stays required as needed.

  • Demonstrated strong, positive interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across disciplines and within a variety of cultures.
